Exosite had a product-market fit problem in Asia as the customer opportunities were largely in manufacturing and lacked any software development capabilities. Our answer was ExoHome, a complete home automation solution—from device firmware to customizable mobile apps—for global brands and OEMs to offer smart controls to consumer devices like thermostats, air conditioners, fans, and lights.

To kick off our new vertical approach in Asia, a number of generative research activities took place. Collaborating with our product, marketing and sales teams, I led a canvasing exercise to outline our business model and feature set.
After a few follow ups with internal stakeholders, we came up with an initial product spec sheet to begin validating within our sales channel.
